Janisa was born from a shared dream between my mother, Jan, and me, Lisa. In 2022, we purchased this beautiful property together with the vision of creating something meaningful. A place where horses and humans could connect, learn and grow. While Jan ultimately decided that farm life wasn’t quite her path, she continues to play an active and invaluable role in supporting the business behind the scenes.

The name Janisa is a blend of both our names, symbolising the roots of our partnership and the heart of our journey.

Driven by the belief that “if you build it, they will come,” I set out to create an equestrian venue that brings my passion to life. My goal was simple: to live and work in alignment with my love for horses, right here at home.

Janisa is now a growing equine centre that offers:

• Horseman’s Rest – a peaceful tiny home stay with horse accommodation

• Arena Hire – available for clinics, courses and workshops

• A Purpose-Built Classroom – ideal for theory sessions and learning

• An On-Site Shop – featuring carefully selected equestrian goods

At the heart of everything I do is a deep commitment to horse welfare and mindful horsemanship. My focus is on rehabilitation, in-hand work, and classical dressage. Disciplines that are grounded in respect, connection and tradition.
